The Shining Pathway

Another sunset over Lake Geneva

A SEAMLESS GARMENT
by Rev. Lawrence Keister

Where does Nature get her sunsets?
Where her April showers?
Verdant landscapes, glens and gardens,
Set with trees and flowers?

Is the sun her master artist?
Are the stars her aids?
Who provides the splendid pageant
When the moon parades?

Should the answer to one question
Dawn upon your mind,
As a key begin to use it
All the rest to find.

Loomed by more than finite wisdom
Through a thousand years,
Nature's dress is so well woven
That no seam appears.

I can't imagine anyone ever saying, "What? Another Sunset? This is getting boring." No, we all tend to stop and look with awe at the beauty, don't we?

"For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. . ."
